Child & Family Ambassadors

Do you have a passion for mental and behavioral health and the emotional well-being of our community's most vulnerable? Are you looking to make an impact in your community while creating awareness about the rising numbers of children, adults, and families affected by mental health concerns?

If your answer to either of these is yes, then read on to learn more about becoming an Ambassador for Child & Family Guidance Center.

Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, Child & Family Guidance Center was already seeing a significant rise in need for services, and during the first half of this year alone, we held over 13,000 more patient visits than over the same period of time last year.

Our goals include establishing ourselves in our communities with consistent and focused messaging, expanding key volunteer roles, and establishing relationships with donors.  In order to accomplish these goals, we need key volunteers to serve as organizational Ambassadors. One in four young adults has considered suicide during the pandemic.
Our community needs us, and we need you!

As an Ambassador, you will become a valuable part of the Child & Family team, by:

  • Lend Name. Ambassadors will agree to allow the organization to use their name in marketing & communications materials and in solicitation of key prospects throughout the area.
  • Spokesperson. Speak positively about the organization and and be prepared to answer basic questions. Rely on staff and key personnel for detailed information.
  • Open Doors. Review prospect lists and indicate those with whom you can arrange a meeting. Also suggest new prospects to add to our list.
  • Events.  Join us at seminars and conferences to help increase awareness and serve as outreach, volunteer, and fundraising arm. Organize Happy Hours and other networking opportunities.
  • Gift. Make a gift up to your financial ability.  We seek 100% participation by Ambassadors.
  • Confidentiality.  Maintain confidentiality at all times as donor/prospect information is shared with committee members.

Ambassadors are a key link between Child & Family Guidance Center and the prospective donor/leader community.   Your support as an ambassador helps us maximize our reach and increase awareness in the communities we serve.  By being an ambassador, you may open new doors for Child & Family to increase community awareness, raise funds, and recruit volunteers.

All ambassadors will be given full training and the necessary resources to support our work in addressing the mental health needs of the communities we serve.

What our clients are saying ...

"Child & Family Guidance Center has given me life again.  After years of suffering from Major Depression and trying many different medications, Dr. Griffin has become more than just a psychiatrist.  I feel at home here.  - Sandy

"My son was struggling with grades, attention, and getting along with others.  We didn't know where else to turn and without insurance our options seemed limited.  Dr. Young gave us the time and attention necessary to understand our situation and prescribe the appropriate medications.  I have my son back.  - April
